Complementary Grabill Projects
Water System Improvements ($3,000,000): The town is in the process of conducting a study to
determine the best approach to upgrade their water system. An initial phase of improvement is
preliminarily estimated at $3,000,000. The town will likely bond or secure a loan through USDA
or SRF for this project.
Cedar Creek Parks Trail ($2,000,000): The town’s portion of Cedar Creek Parks Trail connects
on the Town of Grabill west town limits, travels through the town to the edge of downtown, heads
north through Jack Harris Park and through the iAB Baseball Sports Complex and ends at the
Haifley Drain where it connects to the next section of the trail, the Cedar Creek North portion
up to Hurshtown Reservoir. The town has committed $200,000 to the project. The gap will be
covered with funds from the Allen County Fort Wayne Capital Improvement Board, the Allen County
Commissioners, and possibly Allen County Council.
Grabill Road (State to Roth), and Sawmill Road Resurfacing and Sidewalks ($600,000):
Building off of this year’s State Street improvements, Grabill 2018 application for funding will
resurface Grabill Road to the east of downtown and will include sidewalks as well.
