AUTHORISED GAS TESTER & ENTRY SUPERVISOR

FOR CONFINED SPACE (AGTES)

OBJECTIVES ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

i. Describe the regulations and code of practice of ❑ Attended and passed the Authorised Entrant &
confined space work; Stand-by Person for Confined Space course; and

ii. Identify hazards prior and during entry into the ❑ Possessed a Minimum SPM/MCE/SPVM and

confined space; equivalent with credit in science and with at least 5

iii. Be familiar with the common confined space years’ experience in confined space occupation
entry equipment (Gas Detector, ELSA, Man
Riding Winch, Tripod, etc;) METHODOLOGY

iv. Test and interpret the gas test result; ❑ Lectures, workshops &

v. Demonstrate the gas testing operations and the video presentation
procedure to be taken in the event of an
emergency; and DURATION :

vi. Be certified as an Authorised Gas Tester & Entry 3 days
Supervisor.
