19. Removes mistakes and expunges them. Dhikr is the most noble
of goodness. Whilst goodness can be subjected to evil.
20. Removes doubts and uncertainties within relations between the
self and Allāh. A person who is negligent will surely be
possessed with doubts and uncertainties between ‘himself’ and
Allāh, which cannot be removed except by means of dhikr.
21. Takbīr ( ﱪْ ﻛَأ ٰ ّ ﻠﻟا ﻪ ), tasbīḥ ( ّ ﻠﻟا ﻪ ٰ ِ نﺎﺤﺒﺳ), taḥmīd ( ﺪﻤْ ﳊا ّ ﻠﻟ ﻪ ِٰ ِ ُ َْ َ ), and taḥlīl

ٰ
ِ ِٰ
( ﻪ ّ ﻠﻟا ﱠ ﻻإ ﻪ ﻟإ َ ﻻ), which are said by a servant (of Allāh) at the time of
ُ
َ
dhikr, will remind and impress upon ‘him’ the times ‘he’ was
stricken with difficulties.
22. A servant who recognises Allāh by means of dhikr whilst
outside, makes ‘himself’ known to Him when faced with
difficulties, and He will know ‘him’ at the time ‘he’ faces
difficulties.
23. Dhikr to Allāh brings into being a fortress impregnable to the
disadvantages of the world and the Hereafter, as well as
deliverance and salvation from the punishment of Allāh, as
mentioned by Mufiādh bin Jabal and he understood it as:

ٰ ِ ّ ﻠﻟا ﻪ . ﺮﻛذ ْ ٰ ِ ِ ّ ﻠﻟا ﻪ ﻦﻣ باﺬﻋ ْ َ ِ ﻦﻣ ﻰﳒأ َْ ٌ ءﻲﺷﺎﻣ

“There is no deed that the son of Ādam can do better to save him
(self) from the punishment of Allāh (Hell-fire) than dhikr (the

remembrance of) to Allāh”.
