The quivet from the musk ox feels really soft!
Many great bear photos taken on this trip! One thing
that makes Alaska unique is that all three species of
North American bears (black, brown, and polar) flour-
ish here. Even if you don't see a bear, you will never be
far from one; Alaska is often said to be bear country.
The porcupine is found throughout Alaska except
the Alaska Peninsula and Kodiak, Nunivak, and St.
Lawrence islands.
