The full band was extended by a string ensemble, which greatly enhanced the sound and brought more
drama. These impressive musicians were later revealed to be students from a NJ middle and high school! It
turns out that in every spot on her tour she brings young musicians out to join her – giving some talented
kids the spotlight as a way of paying forward how lucky she was to attain success at such an early age.

This just enhanced the good spirits of the night where Lindsey Stirling and all that made up her holiday show
launched her audience into another world of Christmas magic. It was hard to believe this was her first time
doing a Christmas tour -- we can only hope she will make it a tradition.
Warming up the night was the duo ALEXANDER JEAN, which features husband and wife, MARK BALLAS and
BC JEAN. Ballas also plays the lead part of Frankie Vallie in “Jersey Boys” on Broadway and also happens to
be one of the professional dancers on “Dancing With The Stars.” There, he partnered with…you guessed
it…Lindsey Stirling. It was remarkable to learn and a testament to Stirling’s resilience that the night after this
performance in Philly she would be dancing live on the show back in LA. Touring with Ballas certainly worked
out well as she could sneak in some practice with her partner. And speaking of Alexander Jean, the married
duo clearly has a lot of fun performing together. BC Jean brings very passionate vocals to her husband’s guitar
playing. The audience lit up as they introduced her most notable songwriting credit, "If I Were a Boy," which
was later picked up by Beyoncé and became a hit.
