Back of My Mind
Well, I'm not convinced that my memory’s so good
Good as it should be when asked about love
Something’s I recall never happened at all
But they live at the back of my mind
The back of my mind
The back of my mind
Where all the memories go I can’t find
The pictures of youth
Both lie and the truth
They live at the back of my mind
Now I'm not an expert on old Mexico
They seem like they figured it out long ago
You work with your hands
You dance when you can
And you make love like the Gods”
For many a month
I have found myself lost
I sweat through the summer
I froze to the frost
This place sure has changed
But it all looks the same
it just twists in the back of my mind
