Happy New Year!

our readers a most Happy New Year! We are looking
forward to a year of peace, health, and great indie

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF In this issue, we are kicking off 2022 with a wide array
of diversity in music…from Ice Cube to Marie
Osmond to Kevin Costner – we’ve got something for
everyone in this jam-packed edition of ION Indie
Magazine! Also, to start the year off with a bang, we
are featuring the Tucson-based metal/rock/punk-
fusion band with a sound that is as scorching as the
desert itself…Sin Machine! Senior Photojournalist and
Managing Editor for ION, Marty Haviik, provided the
edgy photography and insightful interview. Check it
all out in these pages!
I had the pleasure to team up with Marty when I flew
to Arizona where we had the opportunity to
collaborate on a story. The event was “A Salute to
American Veterans” at the gorgeous AK-Chin
Pavilion in Phoenix where Aaron Lewis was
headlining. See our expanded coverage inside this
issue!
