Eric Gales was first up. Gales opened the event with the groovy "Put
It Back," accompanied on percussions by his wife LaDonna with
another band drummer beside her. Gales has a strong voice and a
captivating stage presence. I really loved his performance. He
possessed a distinct groove combined with fast-paced, edgy rock.
You had better be prepared if you see Eric Gales! Some of the top
guitarists respect his guitar prowess and his edge in rock and funk.
After a brief concert show, "Voodoo Child" and a medley of "Kashmir"
and "Back In Black" were played by Gales and his tight band. He
made his show personal. So much so, that after his set, he jumped off
the stage and went straight back to his merch table where he greeted
people until it started to get dark. I genuinely enjoyed his show!
