Slash was finally ready to take the stage! In my

mind, I was expecting Guns N’ Roses music, but,
no…Slash played blues rock! That sure threw me

off. Slash and his blues band kicked off their set
with a Bukka White tune, “Parkman Farm Blues”
from his album “Orgy of the Damned.” Joining
him on stage were a couple of his Blues Ball

bandmates. Rounding off his cast of top tier
musicians were Teddy “Zig Zag” Andreadis on
            vocals/keyboards, bassist Johnny Griparic,

            drummer Michael Jerome, and singer/guitarist
            Tash Neal.

Slash and his band killed it with "Killing Floor."

Clad in his signature top hat and black
spectacles, Slash played a magnificent guitar
solo. His snappy riffs and innovative solos were

right on spot. A song from Howlin' Wolf was sung
like no other by the gifted Tash Neal. Slash gave
off the impression of being a bashful performer

who would rather keep his guitar in the
background. That was all the supporters needed
to hear this evening, as their cries evolved into
fervent cheers for Slash, Neal, Andreadis,

Jerome, and Griparic (a spectacular performer).
They were very much flawless on every song,
including Freddie King's "Big Legged Woman,"

Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well," Booker T and the
MG's “Key to the Highway”, performed in a
growly voice by Teddy "Zig Zag" Andreadis.

You have to give it to Slash for organizing the
SERPENT Festival and drawing blues music
lovers with a heavy rock influence of all ages.

People in their early twenties are hardly ever
seen at blues concerts. Leave it to Slash to
introduce a whole new generation to blazing

blues played by a band of legendary musicians.
