For many, September signals “back to school.”

But for the staff of ION Indie Magazine, it marks the release
of this HUGE Sept/Oct 2019 edition that is packed with some
recognizable names in music as well as a cross section of
some of the hottest independent artists and bands that are
hitting the clubs and festivals around the U.S.

Lenny Mental of The Besmirchers. Senior Photojournalist
Marty Haviik spent some time with the irrepressible Lenny
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF recently (somewhere in a back alley) and was able to
dumpster-dive into Lenny’s brain a bit while interviewing this
larger-than-life man. Learn about this colorful man (and
