From hitting the stages on Van’s Warped Tour to an appearance on AZTV and radio station KQST, then
on to playing venues such as the infamous Whisky A Go-Go, PROMISE TO MYSELF brings a fun and
creative energy to the Southwest U.S.

This 4-piece alternative pop band was home-grown in Phoenix, Arizona. They have released their first
5-song EP, entitled “One For The Runaways.” It is now their time!

Marty Haviik: Okay, guys. I worked with you all on a band shoot recently and the one thing I learned
about you all…you guys are the real deal! Welcome back, rock and roll! Tell me a bit about your
                 band, yourselves, and your instruments.

Promise To Myself: We are Promise To Myself, a four piece alternative pop rock band from Phoenix,
AZ... Bradley Stockton, lead guitarist, Karl Nagy, both lead vocals and bass, Zack Bruge, rhythm guitar
and vocals, and Tony Galvan on drums. This is our line up!

MH: Promise To Myself, what does your band name mean?

PTM: It is inspired by an As It Is (band) song "Dial Tones" and the name helps remind us on our
reasonings behind our music and commitment to our fans.

MH: Who are your biggest influences?

PTM: Our biggest influences are All Time Low, Waterparks, One Direction, Big Time Rush, and Taylor
                 Swift!

MH: How did you all meet?

PTM: We met Freshman year guitar class. We started it since Zack and Brad both have a “B” in
their names as an initial but needed a singer. After hearing Karl sing, we wanted him in the band as
the vocalist, but we told him no since he has no “B” initial. However, Karl then informed us his middle
name is “Brandon,” so we let him join the exclusive “B initial band.” Then when we only found one
drummer and had to give up our dream of all having a “B” initial.

MH: What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you during a show or off stage?

PTM: Craziest thing we have ever done was after we played Taste Of Cave Creek. We got paid $50
and we spent it at Taco Bell -- ate it all and then went to sleep. Don't like bragging but our nights are
pretty crazy as you can see from that story.

MH: What kind of gear are you guys using these days?

PTM: We use the best quality gear we can afford! But seriously, Zack uses an EVH 5150 III cab and
head. Brad uses Peavey 6505 and a Blackstar cab. Karl plays a super high-quality, top-of-the-line
Fender Rumble 350 that was laying around our rehearsal space. Tony plays a ddrum Reflex!

                 MH: What’s your songwriting process?
