As a photojournalist on
assignment with ION Indie
Magazine, I enjoyed the “lay of
the land” for Rock USA. There
were three stages: The Ford
Main Stage, The Militia Stage,
and The Party Tent. The way
things were scheduled, as one
band would end their
performance, the 2nd stage
would begin sound check. This
allowed me 20 to 40 minutes to
relocate to the next destination
and left ample time for me to
eat, drink, and be merry, and
fully immerse myself in the
festival vibe – organizationally,
things flowed fairly flawlessly.
