Complimenting the duo, Luna Maye’s vocals added powerful melody
between verses that drove home the soul of the music and gave a bit of
a throwback feel with the interplay between sung chorus and lyrical
rhymes. Meanwhile, Christine Elise accentuated the building songs with
her beautiful harp sounds. Harp in hip hop? Absolutely. And in between
her pivotal glissandos, she got down and let the groove take her.
The formula of Global Local worked and captivated the crowd…and then
some. It was clear that this group was offering something different – the
energy was infectious, the upbeat grooves enticing, and the overall vibe
of the band was that they were there to share positive vibes. It was really
refreshing and landed the group a lot of new fans -- count me among
them!
Global Local is at work on their first EP to be released later this year –
look out for it!
