band. It’s almost like we have a few fulltime jobs among the two of us. We do our best…that’s about all I can
say. You know, we don’t sleep a whole lot.

        SS: What’s your three-year plan?

KO: So, three-year plan…next year we have a tour starting in March and we have a single that we are releasing
with Little Steven’s Underground Garage. That will come out in I think in February. We decided on the date and
I don’t know what that is. And then in June I am releasing a “duets” record with Jaret (Reddick/Bowling For
Soup) and I think we’ll be doing an East Coast U.S. tour, some Southern California dates, and we hope to get
over to the UK, as well. And then we’re either going to do a me and Luis side project that we already have songs
for that will be a very, very different -- not “Dollyrots” thing, whatsoever.

SS: Oh really, how is it different?

KO: I play drums and it’s not melodic-cute, it’s a little bit more angry -- or we’ll do a kid’s record, it depends. So,
that’s our one-year plan. We kind of hang at the one-year plan because that will determine the next year or two.
But, you know, music is always our goal.

SS: As independent artists, how do you define success?

KO: Waking up every day and putting out music is a gift. And I think as long as we are able to do that and however
scrappily it may be, make a living, I think that we have found success. And we get to have a family and we really
like each other, and we’re surrounded by other cool, creative people that help move us along. And you now, I
think having the fan base that we have that has been with us for so long, a lot of them, I think, makes it a family
environment. And when it gets hard it keeps us from quitting. We don’t want to let anybody down.

SS: Where can people find out about The Dollyrots and buy your music?

KO: We have a very well-curated Wikipedia page, thanks to somebody. Yeah, you just pop our name into Google,
one word: “Dollyrots” and you’ll find the history of the band.

        SS: You’re everywhere…

KO: Yeah, we joke that we’re the most famous band nobody knows.

SS: I’ll tell you, I am your biggest fan. I air your music every single week. Thank you very much, Kelly.

KO: Thank you, Sheldon. It’s great to talk to you again.
