EDITOR’S LETTER
With this November/December 2019
edition of ION Indie Magazine, we’ll wrapping up another
publishing year. We are excitedly looking to 2020 and
continuing to bring our readers the best of independent
music…worldwide! Thank you, our loyal readers, for making
ION Indie Magazine the fastest-growing independent
music publication today! Although we cover all genres of
music…YOU ROCK!
Kiki Plesha I was pleased to conduct the feature interview for this issue,
especially as it’s centered around a Christmas-themed
music project…and I do love Christmas! So, when the
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF holiday rock opera The Bell Ringer came across my desk and
I learned that it included members of Dream Theater and
Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I was intrigued and wanted to
know MORE. I immediately invited the creator and
composer of The Bell Ringer, Peter Orullian, to be our
featured interview for this end-of-year edition. And what an
inspiring interview it was! Learn more about the very
talented Peter Orullian inside these pages.
Also in this star-studded edition, we have coverage from this
year’s Farm Aid, including Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker, Luke
Combs, John Mellencamp, along with coverage of the
Outlaws & Renegades Tour with Charlie Daniels and Travis
Tritt. PLUS we have such iconic groups as Volbeat, Chevelle,
and Slipknot…all inside this issue!
We are welcoming a new photojournalist to the ION Indie
Magazine team! Alex Dixon is making his debut in this edition
with coverage of The Growlers. Alex will be reporting on the
Florida music scene, primarily the Orlando and Miami areas.
Finally, be sure to check out our ION-powered all-genre
radio show, Eye On Jamz with host Tim Board. It is growing in
syndication! You can check the broadcast schedule at our
website at www.ionindiemagazine.com/eye-on-jamz-radio.
