 The sampling theorem was
proved on the assumption that
the signal is band-limited.

 All practical signals are time-limited.
 A signal cannot be time-limited and

band-limited simultaneously.
 This means that all practical signals

have infinite bandwidth.
 In this case the spectral overlap

regardless of the sampling rate.
