PULSE AMPLITUDE MODULATION

 Definition: The amplitude of the pulse
changes according to amplitude of
modulation signal at the sampling
instant.

 Types of PAM: Depending upon the
shape of the
pulse of PAM, there are three types of
PAM:

i. Ideally or instantaneously sampled
PAM.

ii. Naturally sampled PAM.
iii. Flat top sampled PAM.
