     Excellence in
Project Management
Purpose
This handbook provides guidance on best practice and the key information required for the delivery of business change projects in line with FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB) standards.
The following sections detail the processes and methodologies used at FDB to identify, approve, plan, execute and close business change projects.
Scope
The Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) owns the processes and methodologies for the delivery of business change projects. The ePMO is a team within the Global Business Change function, led by the VP of Global Business Change (GBC).
The ePMO processes and methodologies must be followed for all large or multi-site business change projects, which are projects either delivered or governed by the ePMO. In supporting a One FDB approach, this handbook may also be of use for other types of project.
There is a separate handbook that should be followed for customer focused programmes.

Execution Closure Benefits Realisation
A project is a planned set of interrelated tasks, intended to achieve a particular purpose or change, to be executed over a fixed period and within certain limitations, such as cost or resources. It progresses through defined phases and adheres to a formal project management methodology. A project is not day-to-day business operations. Global business change projects may rise from a variety of sources.
