AHA
Suitable for most skin types, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs or fruit acids) are found in sugar cane, grapes, apples,
citrus fruits and even sour milk.
The most common AHA Glycolic Acid, derived from sugar cane, is especially beneficial in skincare treatments.
AHAs help to:
• Reveal new skin by sloughing-off dead skin cells, leaving a smoother and healthier-looking appearance
• Visibly improve skin texture
• Reduce the look of wrinkles, fine lines and age spots
• Minimize the appearance of large pores and stretch marks
Sunscreen should be used daily throughout the course of treatment with AHAs
No scrubs or enzyme exfoliation should be done prior to an AHA salon treatment
A patch test using Fruit Acid 10% (RV910VS) is recommended for first time clients
A slight prickling and/or burning sensation during AHA application is normal
Do not exceed the application time during any AHA salon treatment – always follow the treatment directions
A calming, hydrating mask such as Soothing (RC426) or Gentle Soothing Mask (RC122) is recommended after an
AHA peeling
The use of a mild daily exfoliant such as Fruit Acid 10% (RV910VS) is a great way to complement professional
