I stopped taking “Aquasil®”.
Several years later, in 1997, I was
admitted to Monash Hospital in Clayton for
a “Right Knee Total replacement”.
However, during surgery, I became
infected with “Golden Staph infection”
which seriously jeopardised my long term
health.
I was supplied with Antibiotics to combat
this “Golden Staph” but over the next few
years, my health progressively
deteriorated.
The Golden Staph kept evolving and
because I have a lot of metal and plastic
holding my body together.
Also a Pacemaker,
(I tell people I am a “Cyborg”)
(Part machine, Part Computer, and Little
bit Human.)
Unfortunately, all these prosthetic
implants, allow the “Golden Staph” to hide
away from the antibiotics as there is little
blood flow to carry the “goodies” into their
“Nest inside the Prosthetic Site”.
