The preceding method of tying a bowline is the
one you will likely use most of the time. But here is
another technique that is sure to get “wows” from
people who have never seen it before.
1. start by tying a slip
knot about 2 feet from
the working end with the
standing part forming the
sliding bight.
2. Pass the working end
of the rope around the
anchor and back through
the bight.
