CLOve hITCh

This is one of the most commonly used knots by
boaters and climbers. And it is frequently needed for
camping as well. The clove hitch is a fast method of
attaching a line to an object. Even better, it is easy to
adjust and can usually be untied without difficulty
after loading. The clove hitch is such an important
knotting skill that it is worth your time to learn several
                   methods of tying it.
                                 1. start with the rope stretched out. Pinch it
with the right hand, palm facing up, and the
                                 left hand, palm facing away.

                                      2. In one smooth motion, rotate
your hands so that both palms
are facing you and bring the
                                      loops together.
