Treatment
• Myozyme (alglucosidase alfa, rhGAA), was approved by
FDA for patients with Pompe disease (based on enzyme
replacement therapy) using biologically active
recombinant human alglucosidase alfa produced in
Chinese Hamster Ovary cells.
Myozyme is the first
specific treatment for
Pompe’s disease.
