General Features of GC

GC analysis is suitable only for analytes which are
volatile at the operating temp. and are thermally
stable.

1.The sample solution is injected into the heated

injector through a rubber septum.

2. The sample components in their vapor state are
carried through the column by an inert gas (mobile
phase).
