Types of Chemical markers
The first biopharmaceutical substance approved for therapeutic
use was biosynthetic (human) insulin made via recombinant DNA
technology in 1982 (Humulin®).
The biopharmaceutical market is growing at an annual rate of
around 15% - far higher than conventional pharmaceuticals (6-
7%)
