Major steps in peptide mapping
Four major steps are necessary for the development
of the procedure:
isolation and purification of the protein, if the
protein is part of a formulation; selective cleavage
of the peptide bonds; chromatographic separation
of the peptides; and analysis and identification of
the peptides.
A test sample is digested and assayed in parallel with
a reference standard material.
