Your responsibility as a pharmacist in
dispensing Dietary Supplements:

•During your consultation with a patient pay a
particular caution to the following:
Dietary supplements are popular for self-treatment, so you should
inform the patient that Dietary Supplements are pharmacologically
active and should be treated as if they are conventional medicine.
 They should be only used for minor, self limiting diseases such
as common cold or temporary relief of mild anxiety.
Don’t use DS along with prescribed medicine due to risk of
interaction, unless they are known to be safe together.
