b- Gas chromatographic method

• The water in a weighed powdered sample is extracted
with dry or anhydrous methanol.

• An aliquot is submitted to GLC using quantitation by the
internal standard method

• (n-propanol as internal standard) the apparatus is
equipped with TCD. (Thermal conductivity detector)
