• Some varieties of Prunus amygdalus have
similar character (similar phenotype) and
differ only in the presence or absence of the
cyanogenetic glycoside
(amygdalin)…….var. amara and var. dulcis.
• Prunus amygdalus var. amara
• (bitter almond), Rosaceae.
