• Liquorice is a medicinal herb which has been
  internationally used as a remedy.

• The two principal active secondary metabolites in
  liquorice roots are:

• 1- glycyrrhizin, sweet principles, K+ and Ca++ salts
  of glycyrrhizic acid (GA) .
   glycyrrhizic acid is the diglucouronic acid of
  glycyrrhetic acid with a triterpenoidal structure.

• 2- liquiritin (LQ) .(flavonoids)
