2- Temperature

If the temperature becomes too high, the enzyme will be deactivated
and its catalytic action will cease. The effect of heat on enzymes is of
considerable importance in the drying of drugs. The optimum working
temperatures of different enzyme vary, but usually lie between 35 – 50oC.

3- pH value

For every enzyme, there is a pH value at which the enzyme is most
efficient as catalyst.

4- Substrate concentration

   - If the substrate concentration is low, the chance that the molecules
react with the active site of the enzyme is fewer.

   - By increasing the substrate concentration, the time to fill the empty
active sites become shorter and the speed of the reaction increases.
