2) Inhibitors of ATP/ADP Translocation
& ATP Synthesis.

a) Atractyloside: (from Actractylis gummifera)
inhibits transport of ADP/ATP translocase (Antiport)
of the inner mitochondrial membrane. (inhibits influx
of ADP).

b) Bongkrekik acid:
inhibits ADP/ATP translocase (Antiport) of the inner
mitochondrial membrane. (inhibits efflux of ATP).

c) Oligomycin:

inhibits ATP synthetase (complex V), thus inhibits

phosphorylation of ADP to ATP. 65
