If the adult dose of a drug is 75 mg, what would be the dose for a child weighing 40 lb.
and measuring 32 in. in height using the BSA nomogram?

The usual pediatric dose of a drug is stated as 25 mg/m². Using the nomogram,
calculate the dose for a child weighing 10 kg and measuring 67 cm in height.

                       Child dose = 0.4 × 25 = 10 mg.

                   BSA Formula
In addition to the use of the nomogram, BSA may be determined through use of
                   the following formula:
                   BSA (m²) = √[Height (cm) × Weight (kg) / 3600]

The usual pediatric dose of a drug is 300 mg/m². Calculate the dose for a child
weighing 20 kg and measuring 90 cm in height.
