When I see Nikki help Amita taking care of Miya, Archie and
Sevi, it gives me flashbacks when Surjit Bhenji helped Nikki take
care of Amita, Giri and Anu. She is truly a mother figure to so
many of us. She helped us in so many ways. She helped in
cooking, cleaning, stitching and gardening and more importantly
guiding us.
We traveled together to Vancouver by road in 1986 when Amita
was only 18 months old and to Niagara falls with Giri and Amita
in 1988. We could not have done this without her help. I feel
blessed and lucky to have her in our life. Throughout all times
in her life, she has maintained her faith in Waheguru to guide
her. May Waheguru give her good health and long life.
Wishing her a Happy 85th Birthday and many more to come.
