The Charity Bake Sale
It all began when my teacher assigned us the task of organizing a bake sale. As the
president of the Young Entrepreneurs Group, I was given the responsibility of making it
happen. She provided me with specific tasks that I needed to begin working on
immediately.
Our first step was to ask students from grades 6 to 11 if they wanted to participate, and
to our delight, many showed interest. As we continued recruiting participants, my teacher
gave me additional instructions, ones that were the most important of all. The bake sale
would be charity-based, with all proceeds going toward “FG Model School” to provide
dental and hygiene kits along with professional consultations.
This meaningful purpose motivated us even more, pushing us to maximize our efforts.
With this added information, we revisited all the classes to inform students about the
cause, and to our surprise, even more volunteers signed up. Over the next few days, we
focused on organizing the event, reminding participants of their responsibilities, preparing
promotional materials, and finalizing the theme and decorations.
We also sought approval from our principal for certain aspects, such as permission to use
a recording device to document the event for our e-magazine and projects. Everything
was going smoothly, and we were determined to make this event a success.
On Thursday, February 6th, we formally announced the bake sale and encouraged
students to attend. Later that evening, my classmates, and I, who were incredibly
cooperative and dedicated, gathered banners, and finalized the remaining essentials. The
excitement was undeniable, though there was also a hint of nervous anticipation.
