Physical Science



        Program Description
        Physical science is the systematic study of the inorganic world, as distinct from the biological sciences, which is the study
        of the organic world. Physical science is generally thought of as consisting of the areas of astronomy, physics, chemistry,
        and the Earth sciences.

        Hours: 48-54 lecture, 48-54 lab.
        Introduction to the physical universe from atomic particles
        to the stars, with emphasis on the basic principles of
        physics, chemistry, astronomy, and the geo-sciences.
        Meets the physical science requirement for general
        education for non-science majors. Field trips may
