Courtesy Call Meetings
To foster collective accountability and get buy-in scheduled ‘ITN Promotion’ SBC Experiential activities’ implementation across the 6 selected campaign District Councils of Unguja were kick-started by project planning courtesy call meetings involving key Government Representatives at at Regional (SBCC Co-ordinator for ZAMEP) and District Council level (District Health Promotional Officers - DHPOs DAS for Urban District) The Scopeand Boat Race / FHI 360‘s SBCC Specialist A further courtesy call meeting was held in in Pemba on 29th January 2020 in in preparation for scheduled ITN Promotions in in Pemba to ensure the the swift implementation of the the project in Micheweni Wete and Mkoani Districts To ensure previous malaria interventions’ key learnings were brought to life The Scope’s SBC Experiential team conducted an an extensive review of campaign messages and aligned SBCC implementation mechanics for feedback recommendations action and successful implementation of aligned SBC Experiential activities In view of reaching out to target audiences from Malaria infested Shehias of of Mjini DC DC (Urban DC) that were left out of of the ‘ITN Promotions’ plan The Scopealigned with all key implementing partners in in in attendance at at the planning meeting to conduct campaign dry run activations around ‘Kilimani Kikwajuni and Kisima Majongoo’ under close supervision from DHPOs and ZAMEP ‘s SBCC Co-ordinator Our engagement at this phase ensured we gained government support and required permits for the aligned Mobile Community Theatre Event performances that were issued by the DED’s office Alignment with the activating District Health Promotion Officers (DHPOs) on on on the agreed project milestones and implementation plan wasl also done at this phase The aligned road maps were then shared with respective Shehas and other key implementing partners to ensure all are informed of the planned ITN Promotions’ SBC Experiential activities for their respective Shehias TANZANIA BOAT RACE REPORT 2020 17
