Design, implement and support a device inventory management system that can provide inventory, software patching, imaging, support, and usage analytics for all end-user devices. The device analytics can then be used to make informed, aligned, and sustainable IT-ET goals.
•Determine the required number of active Ethernet ports to be maintained in each building and develop an evergreen plan for layer three network switches that can support the necessary active Ethernet and PoE ports for wireless access points requirements. Installing switching infrastructure to provide network access to every port in a building is not a sustainable ever-greening model. It would be best if you asked the question of how are a majority of the user-end devices connected to the existing network and that should help inform network design practices.
•Inventory the existing Telus analog phone and fax line services at each location to determine the total cost of analog functions. If VOIP telephone services can replace current Telus analog services, then redundant analog lines should be disconnected.

•Design and implement a Radius authentication and MDM model to secure the device and wireless network access to Active Directory user credentials. Currently, the various wireless SSID (Service Set Identifier) network segments are secured by a unique password and depending on which network is accessed will determine which network services are accessible.
•Develop a site-by-site assessment of Wi-Fi signal strength for each school. This information can then be used to determine the number of access points that are required at each location to provide the necessary wireless network coverage.
•Develop an ever-greening plan to upgrade wireless access points, and controller technology as end-user devices begin to adopt new wireless standards (802.11 ax). It is vital to ensure the wireless network infrastructure is aligned with the current end-user device wireless access standards.
•Ensure the enterprise wireless infrastructure can provide a dashboard to monitor wireless configuration and usage information to optimize network performance.
