  ADDITIONAL IT-ET RECOMMENDATIONS
•Design, implement and support SuperNet, VLAN, and bandwidth requirements through aligned IT-ET practices and a sustainable funding model that support provincial, district, and school goals. The current SuperNet (100 Mbps) and Internet Service Provider (ISP) gateway (300 Mbps) bandwidth configuration, in theory, can not support the current services and practices, but it doesn’t appear to be an issue based on feedback from stakeholders.
•If SuperNet and WAN bandwidth are impacting the quality of service across the district or at a specific school, then funding and configuring 1 Gbps SuperNet connection for selected locations at the cost of $1098.00/ month may provide a means to address bandwidth and quality of services issues.
Note: The district is only subsidized $800.00/month/ location, and any service agreement above and beyond the baseline funding model will need to be financed by the school district.

Another alternative for addressing bandwidth challenges is by connecting to a fibre optic or coaxial ISP connections which would localize the school Internet traffic and reduce the demand on the district SuperNet WAN traffic requirements.

Note: For an additional $28.608.00/year each school could have a 1 Gig SuperNet connection or an additional $3,576.00/site/year if the larger schools could afford to subsidize the additional 1 Gig SuperNet service.
