SNS AXIA SUPERNET NGN SERVICE CONFIGURATION PROPOSAL - 2016
Key Points:
•SNS originally proposed to have Central Office SuperNet connection upgrade to a 1 Gig service at a cost of $1098.00/month which would be $298.00/month or $3,576.00/year above the provincial subsidized funding model.
•Without having the network and service analytics it is difficult to determine how effectively the school district Microsoft, backup and disaster recovery, Internet, and VOIP services are working over the limited NGN 100 Mbps connections.
•One approach to off set the SuperNet network traffic demands would be to upgrade Central Office and school locations with a large number of user devices to 1 Gig NGN services.
•A second approach to off set the SuperNet network traffic demands would be to install high speed ISP connections at locations with a large number of user devices. Localized ISP services would reduce the SuperNet traffic on the school district WAN.
