Introduction to Quinta do Lago

Quinta do Lago was founded in 1972 and over the past 45 years, has developed
into one of the most prestigious and exclusive developments in Europe. Whilst
only 8% of the 1800 acres estate can be developed this has nevertheless allowed
a wide range of luxury villas,
apartments and country clubs
to be built. Quinta do Lago has
maintained its natural sur-
roundings, in keeping with the
Rio Formosa Nature Reserve,
which it borders, yet still offers
unrivalled sports and recrea-
tional facilities.

Quinta do Lago has a total of 5
golf courses making it one of
the largest golf complexes in Europe. Whether you play golf or not, it is this that has helped
create the low density, environmentally sensitive development we can all now enjoy.

The large main lake and the beach offers a variety of water-sports (see page 12).There are two
nature trails along the Ria Formosa nature reserve with 2 hides for birdwatchers. The Campus
multi-sports centre includes tennis, padel tennis, cycling and swimming with professional
tuition . Cycling, jogging and walking are other popular activities and there are also health
spas. To complete the range of facilities there are two shopping centres at the entrance to the
estate and there is a good selection of top class restaurants and bars throughout the resort.
Guest Services—Clube da Quinta
The Guest Services office at the 2nd roundabout provides concierge services for any guests
staying in Villa Vermonte. They can book a restaurant, round of golf, tennis and local excur-
sions as well as provide babysitting, children's entertainment, catering and beauty services.
