Introduction

RESTAURANTS IN QUINTA DO LAGO
There is a varied choice of excellent restaurants, now 12 in total, within the Quinta do Lago estate, and
we show the walking and driving times for each from Villa Vermonte. As you can see, some are only 10
–15 minutes walking distance and only 5
minutes by car. Almost every year new res-
taurants are being opened and in 2021 the
latest was the Umami Asian restaurant at the
RESERVA apartments by the lake. Also existing
ones have recently been refurbished, including
the Golf Clubhouse and the Caso Do Lago
restaurant. Because of the location, quality,
and ambience, the resort bars and restaurants
are generally more expensive than those out-
side the resort, but do not have the unique
Umami Restaurant –Sushi and Cocktail setting of Quinta do Lago.
RECOMMENDED RESTAURANTS OUTSIDE OF QUINTA DO LAGO
Within a radius of 4 or 5 miles from Quinta do Lago
there are literally dozens of restaurants from local
workman’s cafes to Michelin starred fine dining,
serving every style of cuisine across all price brack-
ets. Many are located on the three roads up to
Almancil or in Almancil itself. You would be missing
out during your holiday if you did not give some of
them a try rather than just those in the resort. We
have selected a few we could recommend, includ-
ing those particularly suitable for children, but
there are many others within 20 minutes driving Dieter Koschina –Head Chef, Vila Joya
distance of the villa which are worth a visit. We have also included Vila Joya, one of our favourites,
which is further away, because we believe it is the best in the Algarve.
