The artist has been rewarded with two gold dust painting

awards in Turkey, which adds to the uniqueness of her journey. The

Kaaba door, which belongs to her private collection, took three years

of dedicated work to complete and was made to the exact dimensions

of the Kaaba using gold and silver powder. It is the only known

piece of its kind in the world. Cigdem Canbakis is a mother of three

residing in New York, and her goal is to continue supporting young

artists who are struggling with financial difficulties by donating the

proceeds from her art sales. She hopes to set a great example

for those in need of a helping hand.
