High-performance housing
is here to stay, and with it
comes new problems—
and new solutions.

The DOE and its partners are leading the
way in developing solutions for the building
envelope, including moisture management,
HVAC innovations and alternative ways to
insulate. Though still in development, these
solutions will provide better housing for the
uprising of high-performance housing
developments, which allow people
to live in whole communities that value
efficient and sustainable living. The time for
solutions to continue producing higher
performing homes is now.
