Geographical distribution:
• It is cosmopolitan; the disease is common among overcrowded, poor
and dirty classes of populations.
Mode of infection: infection takes place by contact with an infected person or by
using his internal clothes.
Diagnosis:
I. Clinically: by the severe itching during night, it's sites distribution in the skin,
and by finding the scratches, vesicles and pustules.
II. Laboratory: by finding the adult mite or it's stages in the tunnels after opening
with a needle under a magnifying lens.
