Friends and family also provided help in bringing the
family spirits up by recreating Jay and Brenda’s wed-
ding album as an anniversary gift.
Jay made a promise to his wife that for her upcoming
birthday; he vowed that they would be back in a new
home that he would build on the site of the devastation.
No small task under the circumstances. Jay is not the
kind of man to make promises he can’t keep and he
has proven this over the years, not only with promises
to his wife and family, but also with his dedication to
causes in which he strongly believes. Thanks to a net-
work of friends and colleagues, a family photo proudly
displayed in their home shows Jay’s wife Brenda
standing in front of their new home with Birthday cake
in hand.
