Brian Zralek has been organizing for five years and helping to lead nonprofit organizations for more than fifteen years. Along with several powerful immigrant and refugee leaders, Zralek founded an organization in Western New York called the Buffalo Immigrant
:eadership Team. Zralek is originally from Nashville, TN where he now works with Nashville Organized for Action and Hope (NOAH), organizing the Education Task Force and Integrated Voter Engagement Committee. Zralek’s two-year-old daughter provides motivation and passion for his work.
Rev. Dr. Katie Hays is the lead evangelist of Galileo Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), founded in 2013 on the outskirts of Fort Worth, Texas, to seek and shelter spiritual refugees. As Galileo starts to feel like home, newcomers become “co-conspirators” who agree to prioritize the church’s mission for one year. Co-conspirators share energy, time, learning, resources, and activism in a collaborative effort to get more of what God wants in this world God still loves.
