The task for the class was to prepare

four versions of the construction of

the Cloud Gate – structure located

in Chicago, Illinois. Each type should
present a different kind of fabrication.

The four types are 2D, 2D+, 3D, and

3D+.

In each of the structures, we are

treating the Cloud Gate as the Globe.
We are dividing it into sections in a

way like the parallels and meridians

are made. We noticed that with this
division, we could connect four

structures into two. While working

with the 3D+, we want to make curved

panels.

But we need to prepare a construction

for them. That is where we may use
the 2D beams, which will be flat cut-

outs but will connect nicely with the

curved panels.
