PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

reetings to all USGTF members! It is my distinct honor and privilege

Gthat I have become the second president and CEO of the USGTF,
taking over for Geoff Bryant. We all owe Geoff a debt of gratitude for
starting the USGTF in 1989, giving teaching professionals a voice and

opportunities that they never before had. All of us at the USGTF are
eternally grateful for his vision, and I intend to continue on that mission,

bringing the USGTF to even greater heights as the 21st century rolls along.
I am ready to work harder than ever to make USGTF certification
the top-level certification for golf teaching professionals. It is time to

be recognized by all in the golf industry that we are number one in
golf teaching professionals! All of my staff and I’s efforts are focused to
move forward to accomplish this goal. Please continue to support and

participate in this endeavor.
The year 2020 has been an interesting one for our organization, to say
the least. In addition to a change in leadership at the USGTF, the entire
world has been affected by the COVID-19 coronavirus that emerged
earlier this year. Many courses and driving ranges were closed for months,

but now as summer comes upon us, all are now open. The National Golf
Foundation reports that the number of rounds played is up, as people are
seeking healthy ways to stay active. This is good news for our members

who stand to benefit, from new golfers discovering the game to other
golfers returning after an absence. I know USGTF members stand at the
ready to help them enjoy the game even more.
We also wish to welcome Caitlin McAdams to the USGTF National
Office staff. Caitlin comes to us from Telecommunications Analytics and

will be a valuable addition to our Membership Services team.
Finally, I welcome all members to contact me if you have any questions
or items you wish to bring to my attention. I will be working most days at

the National Office site, where our new phone number is (772) 88-USGTF.
