Hi, my name is Macie Soderquist, and this is my horse Journey Over a Star. We have been a team for about a year and I couldn’t ask for more from Journey. He is hard working and always looking to please. We have improved so much this year thanks to my amazing trainers Kim Gately and her daughter Samantha Gately. I am also grateful to my family for their awesome sup- port!

JZA Justpurrzippinfun, affectionately known as Zoey, and I have been partners since mid 2012. She is one incredible horse - kind hearted, talented, and adorable in my humble opinion. She excels in SMS, HMS, and Trail because of her tenacious attitude and distain for clobbering poles ninety percent of the time. The other ten percent she seems to love plowing them over with a passion! Horse showing takes a village, in the stall row and the stands, and with that sentiment in mind I would love to thank those who have never doubted me and my varatious dreams. First and foremost, Brittney Mellor, an incredible trainer and human being, thank you for your expertise, kindness, graciousness, dedication, and willingness to continually show me that my goals in the show pen and out are fathomable and attainable. Next, my ridiculously awesome parents for encouraging, endlessly sup- porting, and bankrolling my horsey endeavors - I know it has’t always been the easiest sport to get behind. And last but not least, I would like to thank all of my fellow exhibitors, trainers, show staff, and anyone who has ever given me a word of encour- agement, kindness or a smile after a hard class along the way. Here’s to a great year, and a new adventure - entering the ama- teur pen in 2016!
